As we all well understand that the entire world is facing a period of great uncertainty due to the COVID-19 pandemic and Sri Lanka in additionally series of economic crises due to unfair conducts the country. As the nation we should have gathered effort to release from these cries re stand the society. I personally trust that the education is initially strength to face this similar situation. Therefore, we, ACTA/UCCT started conceptually academic enhancement program called “ZERO UNSKILLED IN SRI LANKA”.
the beginning we selected ten areas identifies which strongly involve in technological sector developments. Also, we specially Concentrate the knowledge, skills innovative inventions, attitudes and HSE practices must have international standards to work in global market. Indeed, I emphasized that Our administration and academic staff dedicated to serve for focusing the institutional said mission. In view of the prevailing economic scenario, ACTA/UCCT is grooming the students as prospective leaders and for this purpose, the faculties have been carefully handpicked to ensure a combination of experience, expertise, and professionalism. Such faculties and departments are under ACTA, all the short courses & Pearson diplomas, and under UCCT used to conducts NVQ level 05 & 06 and also create a way to open path for graduating with foreign universities.
Our goal is to contribute to stopping nations’ tear and strengthen our society by adding experienced knowledge and standard skills. I firmly believe that the team’s potential to induce efficiency to overcome the external & internal threats & challenges and reach to winning

Director's Message (Training & Development)
ACTA has great potential lies ahead of us to contribute to the development of our country, by preparing young graduate engineers who will be the foundation engineers.
Following the slogan of ACTA “Education Beyond the Horizon” the academy intends to train a set of young Higher Diplomats who are equipped with basic knowledge in civil engineering, quantity surveying and other relevant knowledge and able to solve open-ended problems presented to them.
At present ACTA has given prime focus to its Higher Diploma program leading to the award of the Higher National Diploma IVQ and NVQ of Engineering specialized in Civil Engineering and Quantity surveying.
For this purpose, ACTA in collaboration with the faculty and the participation of industry experts and fellow academics have prepared the learners work to meet the national and international requirements in engineering education. In delivering, prime focus is given to deliver the program satisfying the outcome based Education for engineering.
ACTA is following the requirements for the top up degree and is in the path of applying for recognition status with Malaysian University to facilitate the higher Diploma holders to become as qualified Engineers
In order to deliver the above curriculum, ACTA is well equipped with a team of dynamic and qualified lecturers possess an excellent academic background and many of them have overseas qualifications
While paying due attention to these programs ACTA is actively involved to conduct the short programs to enhance the skills of industry employees in related to the construction sector.
There were no of students already completed the NVQ Level 4,5 & 6 and the Pearson UK Higher Diploma qualification and are working in various construction industries local and overseas. Their efforts are much appreciated by their employers.
We are positive about the future to unveil. Therefore, ACTA invites you to be a part of this journey ahead.
